Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) Grant (SMEs)

Are you a small or medium firm? Get up to S$10,000 to create health and sports programmes for your employees. The grant covers up to 90% of your cost.

  • Singapore-registered organisations with at least 5 paid employees.
  • Your business qualifies as long as:
    • you are registered or incorporated in Singapore
    • 30% - 100% of your shareholding is local
    • your group fixed assets are worth S$0 - S$15 million
    • you have 5 - 200 employees (for companies in the services sector)
  • To encourage small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to create and sustain health programmes for staff by subsidising the cost of programmes/activities.
  • Examples of programmes and activities:
    • health screening, lifestyle and health practice survey
    • health-related talks, workshops and activities
    • sports, exercise and fitness classes
    • targeted health interventions e.g. weight management programmes
    • purchase of health and fitness equipment

  • Up to 90% of qualifying costs for the health programme incurred by your business, capped at a maximum of S$10,000.
  • You can apply for the grant twice if you are applying for the first time. Only 1 grant will be given over a 12-month period. You should apply for the second grant only after you have received full reimbursement for the first grant.
  • For each award (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum) you attain under the Singapore HEALTH Award (SHA), you can apply for 2 additional rounds of funding.
  • You can only start your programme/activities after the grant is approved.
  • Once your grant has been approved, you must apply for SHA when the Awards are open for application.
  • The programme/activities funded must be completed within 12 months from the date of approval.
  • At least 80% of the approved grant amount must be used.
  • The programme/activities cannot be funded by other agencies.
