The Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and Singapore Manufacturers' Federation (SMa) have rolled out a new productivity programme called SME Quality Initiatives to Assist, Nurture and Grow (SME Qiang) for SMEs involved in manufacturing and other manufacturing-related business.

The programme comprises both Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) modules and a Productivity Improvement Project to help senior management in these SMEs to be able understand productivity concepts.

SME Qiang will also enable companies to identify 'productivity agents' who can roll out a framework for their company.

The customised programme will benefit a pilot of 55 SMEs and 11,000 employees.
