Training Assistance Scheme (TAS)

Tap on the TAS grant for your company’s general training and development needs.

  • Companies registered or incorporated in Singapore sponsoring employees who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.
  • To encourage employers to train their employees so that they can perform better in their jobs. Training can be done by external parties or in-house.
  • TAS is funded by the Skills Development Fund (SDF). Search the library of courses for funding under the SDF EasyNet.
  • The levels of funding are tabulated below:

    Overseas Training3 External training providers/own in-house instructors (within Asia) S$80 per trainee-day

    Notes to above funding table

    1. SME Upgrading for Performance (SUPER)
      Provides higher subsidies to encourage a higher level of training among SMEs.

      SMEs are defined as companies who meet these criteria:
      • at least 30% local ownership;
      • fixed asset investment ≤ S$15 million; and
      • if in the service sector, staff size of 1-200
    2. Funding Support for Mature Worker
      Employees must be 40 years old and above, holding GCE ‘A’ level qualifications and below.

      To qualify, training courses must:
      • lead to certification
      • be conducted by a third-party trainer in Singapore for a fee
      • have a minimum duration of 7 hours
    3. Overseas Training
      To qualify, training must be structured with at least 5 training days. Funding is up to a maximum training period of 42 days.
  • TAS does not support seminars, conferences and entry-level skills training.
  • Submit your TAS application at least 1 working day before the training starts.
