Singapore's on-year non-oil domestic exports (NODX) expanded by 6.8% in June 2012.
This was on the back of high demand for non-electronic exports, which grew by 9.4% on-year. Within non-electronic NODX, there were higher exports of printed matter (+72%), specialised machinery (+25%) and pharmaceuticals (+24%).
According to International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, total trade increased by 2.8% on-year in June.
On-year performance of other key trade components in June are:
- Electronic NODX: +1.6%
- Non-oil re-exports: +2.5%
- Oil domestic exports: -2.8%
The top 3 contributors to the NODX export markets in June 2012 were Hong Kong (+41%), Indonesia (+20%) and EU 27 (+17%).
